Edinburgh is Scotland’s compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.
Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic. It is separated from Great Britain to its east by the North Channel, the Irish Sea, and St George’s Channel.

Windsor Castle: Over 900 years of royal history are waiting for you in Windsor Castle, which is perched high above the River Thames just outside of London. From William the Conqueror all the way through to our current Queen, successive monarchs have lived here and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. We shall be amongst the first people to enter Windsor Castle, so you can see for yourself the splendor of St. Georges chapel and the sumptuous state apartments. Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs. Shakespeare is said to have written his play The Merry Wives of Windsor in one of them!
Stonehenge: The most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and now a world heritage site, Stonehenge stands alone in the vast empty tract of Salisbury plain. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years and it has been home to pagan religion and spiritual worship, not to be mention public debate ever since. What was this vast collection of stones intended for? Was it observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or an elaborate cemetery? Who were the people who carried and carved these 40 ton rocks? Come and unlock the secrets for yourself and marvel at this remarkable and mysterious feat of ancient engineering and design.
Bath: Our final stop is Bath, another world heritage site. Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our panoramic tour of the city, there will be time to visit Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge overlooking the river Avon cascading over the weir. And you can shop, explore or take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms while listening to the string quartet.

After breakfast, Enjoy tour to Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle – SIC. Overnight at hotel.
Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle: Departing Edinburgh, heading west, we travel via Stirling, passing through the charming country village of Drymen, before making our first stop at Balmaha, Loch Lomond. From here we enter The Trossachs, also known as “Scotland In miniature” because of its stunning scenery and more famous, perhaps, for being home to the outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor. After a lunch stop in Aberfoyle we travel over the Duke’s Pass, pausing for a glimpse of Loch Achray, before arriving at Loch Katrine, to experience the natural beauty which inspired Sir Walter Scott’s epic poem, “The Lady of the Lake”. Within the beauty of Scotland’s first national park, we can enjoy a boat cruise on Loch Katrine, or a relaxing walk or cycle along the pathway which follows the loch’s stunning northern shoreline. (Loch cruise available April , October only. Hire bikes at the loch – subject to availability).We depart for Stirling early afternoon and our last stop is the magnificent Stirling Castle, sitting high on volcanic rock, offering wonderful views of the landscape. You will have time to visit the castle and learn of the exploits of key historical figures including William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. We then make our way back to Edinburgh.
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Dublin. Arrival, Pickup and transfer to hotel. Rest day free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Dublin City Sightseeing Tour on Hop-on / Hop-off basis. Dublin Castle: Originally built in the 13th century on a site previously settled by the Vikings it functioned as a military fortress, a prison, treasury, courts of law and the seat of English Administration in Ireland for 700 years. Rebuilt in the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, Dublin Castle is now used for important State receptions and Presidential Inaugurations. The State Apartments, Undercroft, Chapel Royal, Craft Shop, Heritage Centre and Restaurant are open to visitors.

Cliff of Moher and Burren: Taking you along Galway Bay, your first stop is at the fishing village of Kinvara to see Dungaire Castle and into the Burren, home to 75% of Ireland’s native flora and the location of numerous ancient monuments – many of which we visit including the Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb, the 5,800 year old Poulnabrone Dolmen and Ballyalban Fairy Fort – home of little men with green hats and orange beards! We will also stop at Kilfenora to see the famous Celtic Crosses and then make our way to the 200 metre high and 8km’s long cliffs of Moher. Enjoy stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands and take your time to soak up the natural beauty of the Cliffs of Moher. At the Cliffs you will have 2 hours free to enjoy the visit and you will have a guided tour.
After breakfast, Depart for Belfast City Tour – SIC. Overnight at hotel.
Belfast City tour: We will be driving through the northern suburbs of town, passing some interesting sites on the way, which our friendly guide will tell you more of, for instance Croke Park- Home of Gaelic Games, Dublin Airport’s new 2nd terminal and the controversy surrounding it, and the Dublin Port tunnel that was built too small for the larger trucks to use! We arrive in Drogheda, home of Saint Oliver Plunkett, erstwhile Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland. We visit Saint Peters Roman Catholic church. We arrive in Monasterboice, which is a medieval monastic site and cemetery. Here we have a chance to view one of Irelands best preserved high crosses, called Muirdach’s cross. Our next stop is at the Proleek Dolmen, a megalithic portal tomb. Welcome to Belfast City! Here you have some time to grab something to eat, and look around on your own. Later we start our guided tour of the city. We visit the Republican Museum, with a large collection of artefacts and prison handicrafts, representing various phases of the struggle for Irish Freedom.
