Upon arrival in Tashkent Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel (check in at 14:00) Morning rest at leisure at hotel.
Afternoon visit the old town to see Barak Khana Seminary, Tila Shaikh mosque and archives known for the exhibit of a rare copy of Koran written the third Caliph Othman. Later proceed to Chorsu bazaar, Kukeldash Madrassah.
Optional: EXCLUSIVE – Tea ceremony with sweeties and pastry at national house of Akbar and Alisher Rakhimov – famous family of ceramists in Uzbekistan.
You will have an opportunity to have a lecture about history of ceramics and see the unique collection of their exclusive works.

Full day sightseeing in Bukhara:
Visit – Lab-i-khauz ensemble, the pool and chaikhana of which is the modern centre of traditional Uzbekistan. Visit Madrassah Nadirkhon Devanbegi, Khanaga, Mogaki Attari mosque, Poi Kalon minaret and mosque, See Madrassahs Aziz Khan and Ulugbek.
Lunch at local restaurant “Old Bukhara” which is great place with the fascinating view of the old city of Bukhara.
Afternoon after lunch visit Ark Fortress, Balakhauz mosque, mausoleum of Ismail Samanid, Chashma Ayub.
We will walk through the surviving Jewish part of the old city, then stroll around the ancient domes (they are the Taki-Zargaron (jewelers’ dome), the Taki-Tilpak-Furushan (headwear merchants’ dome), the Taki-Sarrafan (shroffs’ (money-changers) dome) which have interesting shops featuring new and old pieces of art, from hand-made shoes to local-style ceramics, unique silverware and traditional metallic embroidery still being done in small madrasas. Dinner at local Uzbek house of Akbar.
Akhbar House, sited in the 19th century building, is located in the old Jewish Quarter; The owner boasts a unique collection of ancient Uzbek national costumes, unrivalled in the whole neighborhood. Stepping over Akhbar House threshold, feels like entering Aladin’s cave. Walls of this house comprise the elements of a unique ancient décor of the19 century. Overnight at Hotel
Excursion to visit the Sitora-i-Mokhikhosa, the summer residence of the former emir of Bukhara where you can see unique mixture of traditional Russian style of architecture harmoniously mixed with local oriental traditions. Famous thrown white hall decorated with carved alabaster resembles halls in Petergof Palace in the suburb of St Petersburg.
Excursion to Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mausolem famous Sufi spiritual leader of this region in 14th century. Bahouddin Naqshband’s cult was highly venerated among folks. The rulers, too, paid a considerable attention to this architectural ensemble.
Later drive back to Bukhara.
Lunch at local uzbek house of Rakhmon. Here you will see a unique collection of ancient Susanne.
Visit Hunarmand UNDP Assisted workshops near Lyabikhauz. We see block printing, metal chasing, suzani embroidery, carving and miniature painting. Gold Embroidery
Some free time will be at your disposal for your own exploration .
Optional: enjoy folk show which accompanied by traditional instruments and contemporary fashion parade which is held under the stars in the courtyard at Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasah.
Dinner at Minzifa restaurant, located in the center of the historical part (the Old City) of Bukhara, very close to the medieval trade domes and the Lyabi-Khauz ensemble.

Continue on to Samarkand with a visit to a family of carpet weavers in a small village en route.

Morning visit Gur Emir – mausoleum of Great Tamerlane. Later visit Registan Square which was for many centuries the heart of Samarkand. See the three beautiful madrassahs: the Ulug-Bek Madrasah built in the fifteenth century; the Tillya-Kori Madrasah built in the seventeenth century; the Sher-Dor Madrasah, also built in the seventeenth century.
Visit Hunarmand Artisans center to see the artisans at work.
Lunch at “Karimbek” restaurant
Afternoon see the grandest structure of Amir Temur’s times is the chief Friday Mosque called Bibi-Khanum, Silk Road bazaar. and Shahi Zinda necropolis.
Optional: Visit El-Mirosi Theatre to see the show of ancient costumes. Your attention will be drawn to a program where you can learn about life, customs and traditions of our region from ancient times to the present. Theater costumes represent different historical periods. These suits have recorded the life of our ancestors and the language of color, shape, pottery and painting, and the theater reveals intimate secrets and laws of the beauty of Uzbek costume.
Dinner will be arranged outdoor in a local uzbek house of Ilkhom, where guests would have an opportunity to enjoy delicious home-made food and enjoy the authentic and homey atmosphere of uzbek hospitality. Overnight at Hotel
Morning visit the paper-making workshop located in the Konigil village (10 km from Samarkand). For a long time Samarkand has been famous as a center of a high-quality paper manufacture. In the workshop of a talented master you will see how the rind of the mulberry tree turns into a paper.
Later visit Ulugbek’s observatory located in the entrance to Samarkand. Among historical monuments of Samarkand observatory takes particular place, constructed by Ulugbek (Grand son of the Great Amir Temur) in 1428-1429.
Lunch at local restaurant “New Arbat”, it is a nice European style restaurant which offers both national and European cuisine with the highest level of service and a competent welcoming staff Afternoon excursion to Mausoleum of the Prophet Daniil. The Biblical Prophet Daniil, known in the East as Hoja Daniyar, lived in 4—5th century BC. He was a descendant of Solomon tsar, revered by the three world religion. It is considered that parts of Daniil remains, namely a hand, were conveyed to Samarkand by Temur. Late afternoon transfer to the railway station to take train to Tashkent.

Morning at leisure ,After lunch visit the Museum of Applied Arts, in the Russian Turkestan governor’s old mansion: over 7,000 pieces of traditional folk art: ceramic, glass and porcelain, handmade and machine embroidery, national fabrics and costumes, carpets, varnished miniatures, jewellery starting from the first half of 19th century; later excursion to Mustakillik (Independence) Square in the heart of Tashkent and famous Tashkent Metro (underground) decorated with local marble and granite like an underground palaces, visit Amir Temur squire. Evening transfer to the airport for flight to Bishkek.

Morning proceed to Chon-kemin valley, where you will stay overnight in a small cozy guest house in the village Ashuu. It is a perfect place where you can see the real life of Kyrgyz people.
The valley has a rich variety of vegetation, and animal life, and boasts both a Zoological preserve, (with partridges, gold pheasant, hare, wild boar and mountain sheep) and a botanical reserve (Kapchagai – which is home to ephedra – horsetail). The park was founded in 1997 including almost all the forest farms of the Kemin district. The park’s main task is to preserve the unique landscapes with their diversity of fauna and flora. Today you will have a trip to Chong-Kemin gorge in horse-drawn carriages. Overnight: Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse
Morning drive to Karakol along the northern bank of Yssyk-Kul (hot lake), the second biggest mountain lake in the world after the Titicaca Lake., situated 1600 meters above the sea level. Rest on the lakeshore in a unique combination between mountainous and marine climate. Visit of the petroglyphe’s field from Cholpon-Ata and the Burana tower on the way. Burana tower is situated in the centre of ancient town – Balasagun. The tower is 24, 6 metres high (original height was 45 metres).
Continue to Karakol. En route visit of the Prejvalsky Museum located 12km from Karakol. It is situated just on the shore of the great lake. It was built to commemorate the famous Russian traveler and scientist Nikolai Prezhevalski, who dedicated 21 years of his life to the investigation of the Issik-Kul valley and the mountains surrounding the region. He died not far from the place where the museum and the memorial to his honor were built. Overnight at Hotel Green Yard
Full day in Karakol: Visit the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. This pretty little church is one of the most amazing buildings in Karakol, mostly built of wood, and inside decorated with Icons, pictures and wall paintings. The next place – Dungan Mosque – beautiful and unusual for local architecture building of the mosque is interesting. Old aged building of the mosque was built in Chinese style by Dungans and made of wood. It was built without a single nail. Transfer back to hotel.Overnight at hotel
Morning drive to Natyn, en route short excursion to Jety-Oguz gorge.
Later visit Kochkor village (270 km), an excellent place to experience the rural lifestyle in Kyrgyzstan. You will be welcomed with a folklore show. The process of making felt carpets, in Kyrgyz “Shyrdak” will be demonstrated. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own felt carpets. The history of Shyrdak, a variety of the patterns and their meaning will be discussed, as will how to recognize high quality shyrdak.Overnight at guest house Khan-Tengri
Morning drive to Tash Rabat, which served as a fortress for travelers along the Great Silk Road.
Tash-Rabat was constructed in the 15th century, on the ancient trade route from Central Asia to China, and was a resting place for merchants, ambassadors, travelers and other wanderers. It is the largest structure built of stone from Central Asian architecture of that epoch. It is notable not only for it’s size and building materials, but also for its special layout, based on perfect symmetry.
Our Kyrgyz adventure is near completion as we head towards to Kyrgyz-Chinese border
Point “Torugart”. After completing customs formalities, we drive to Kashgar (approx. 170 km).

Afternoon transfer to Tashkorgan via the famous Karakorum highway en route Stop at Karakuly Lake located at the foothills of the beautiful Muztagata Mountain at 3600 meters above the sea level.

On arrival transfer to hotel, check in. Short rest at hotel. Excursion to Jiao he ancient city – Jiao he ruins dates from 1st BC and flourished around 5th AD. Much of the city structure is understandable with well laid out city plan the administrative section to housing settlement and to the secular parts with surviving Stupa ruins. It was part of Tang Dynasty in 7th AD continued under successive domination till 13th AD when the Mongols destroyed the city. City is comparatively well preserved.
At the end of the day visit famous Grape valley (12 km) is a pleasant park with vineyards and fruit trees, there are special places for relaxing and eating the grapes and melons. Grapes were introduced to Turpan over 2000 years ago overnight at hotel
Full day sightseeing in Turpan,Early morning visit picturesque Tuyoq ancient village (70 km) to see the oldest in Turpan area Buddhist caves dated back to the 4th c. Visit local Uygur families enjoy beautiful mountain and grapes sceneries. Later visit the impressive ruins at Gaochang ancient city (47 km), built in the 2nd c. BC, it became the capital of the Kingdom of Gaochang under the Han dynasty, destroyed around 14th century, take a donkey cart taxi to venture deep into this famous ancient site. Get inside of Astana Tombs to see well preserved mummies and unique wall paintings dated back to 2AD.
Later visit the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves (56 km) on the flanks of the Flaming Mountains, there are 67 caves dating from 317 to 1368, Bezeklik was an important center for Buddhist worship.
These are superb murals many depicting Buddhist Sutras and Jatakas which were the part of Hinayana and Mahayana beliefs. Bezekliq caves were part of Gaochang Kingdom present day ruins of Gaochang.
Late evening transfer to the railway station to take train to Dunhuang. Overnight: train
On arrival to Dunhuang transfer to hotel. Check in.Day trip to the Mogao Caves – the world’s richest treasure-trove of Buddhist manuscripts, wall paintings and statuary dated back to 4th up to 14th century onwards; created during nine dynasties they mark the height of Buddhist art. Afternoon visit the nearby Mingsha (Singing) Sand Dunes and Crescent Lake. Overnight at hotel
Morning excursion to the Western 1000 Buddha caves, although in reality there are only 22. The frescoes are similar to the ones found at Mogao and it is therefore mostly assumed that they are also Dunhuang Buddhist art. There age is known but they may pre-date those at the Mogao Grottoes.
